Facilities And Equipment
The school playground is an excellent size by the standards of inner London schools, including a wide range of climbing and play equipment. In both Nursery and Reception, the children have their own dedicated outside space so that learning isn’t confined to the classroom. They have the opportunity to investigate nature, grow flowers, use sand and water and develop their balance and confidence in their own adventure playground.
In 2013, a wooded area behind the playground was restored and fitted with new fencing and access to transform it into a woodland study zone where children can observe insects, make tree rubbings, draw from nature and track natural growth and seasonal change under the direction of the school’s head of science.
The school also benefits greatly from an onsite heated indoor swimming pool, which is suitable for all ages and especially for the infant classes. Children in all years have PE lessons with specialist sports coaches and swimming lessons in the school’s pool.
Lunchtime meals are freshly prepared and cooked onsite daily by an experienced team in a fully Kosher kitchen facility, with healthy choices to suit all tastes.
ICT and Technology are very much part of every lesson. All classes have interactive white boards as well as access to ipads and laptops to use in lesson time. We strongly believe in learning outside the classroom including enabling the children to access online learning resources at home. The school also has separate infant and junior libraries well stocked with age-appropriate books and equipped with a borrowing system to keep a record of all loans.
